SUNDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS

Hebrews: Jesus is Better

Thirteen times in the book of Hebrews Jesus is described as "better," "superior," or "more excellent." This is the framework that holds the book together: Jesus is better than angels, Moses, the prophets, and the entire Old Covenant. This book is the key that God gives us to understand the Old Testament and how it is all fulfilled in Christ. In a world filled with distractions and challenges, the reminder that "Jesus is better" encourages believers to persevere in their faith and not drift away.

God and Transgender

For the last several decades political and theological debates have centered on the LGBTQIA+ movement. In the past few years the “T” for transgenderism seems to have taken the stage. From transgendered bathrooms, transgendered athletes, and celebrities who have seemingly “transitioned” from one gender to the other, the transgender movement has moved to the forefront of hot topic discussions! But what does God have to say about all of this?

The Sermon on the Mount

The Sermon on the Mount is the most famous sermon ever preached. Jesus flips the people’s expectations on what type of kingdom the Messiah is ushering in. It does not focus on physical or material blessings but rather the spiritual implications of the rule of Jesus in our lives.

SHORT BOOKS WITH A BIG PUNCH

These one chapter wonders focus on heavy topics like divine justice, repentance, slavery, and false teachers. Put your dukes up on Sunday’s at 9:15am as we study short books with a big punch!

Proverbs - The Art of Living Wisely

The book of Proverbs provides wisdom for reflecting God’s glory in the details of daily life and in our relationships. It demonstrates clearly that God’s ways are intensely practical. The main emphasis of the book is to show that relating rightly to God involves, first, seeking to understand his truth, and second, embracing and obeying that truth. Clear throughout is that following God’s paths leads to blessing, whereas forsaking them leads to ruin.
